The Top Ten Watercolor Scenes of Istanbul....? (Part 4)

Büyük Mecidiye Camii (Mosque) on the Bosphorus is an enchanting place. Another one of those Baroque style Ottoman Mosques that grace the city, it settles in a position from which the profiles of great buildings and palaces of the city can be seen unencumbered from floor level. The high windows pull of shafts of light down from above upon the worshippers and the distance silhouettes rise above the sea.
